Here we go again.

We have these 50 dollars (again)

It turns out Dell does price match with itself up to 30 days. Having used the tablet for a while, it seems like a good bargain. However, because the real benefit of having a Windows 8.1 tablet comes from the desktop apps rather than the tablet apps (seriously, just get an Android tablet or an iPad if you mostly care about tablet apps), I think I would have been better off with the Pro 11 with the mobile keyboard (the one with its own battery). As it is, an 8″ Windows 8.1 tablet seems to only really be of use to people who need to worry about the weight and size of their possessions, and are mostly just looking for an Windows computer they’ll use sparingly during times they’re forced to use Windows. (That’s me, but I still think I would have been betterr off with the Venue Pro 11.)

One more note: As usual, Dell’s APO shipping is obnoxiously slow. Not only that, they gave me a malformed tracking number so I couldn’t even tell when the parcel left CONUS. Don’t let them lie to you and claim it’s impossible to track APO shipments. It’s totally possible to track APO shipments during the first day or two while packages are still in the United States. Honestly, you’re probably better off buying Dell products through BH Photo and Video if you have an APO address. They ship much faster, don’t dick you around by pretending things are in stock when they’re actually backordered, and shipping is usually free. I love those Jews.
