I just realized I’ve had the same pair of Sony MDR-V6 headphones for 20 years. I’ve had to replace the ear cups twice, but aside from that they’re still in great shape. They survived Iraq, and they’ll probably survive Afghanistan too. I kinda want to buy something that sounds better, but these are good enough and new ones probably wouldn’t be as comfortable. They also probably wouldn’t last me 20 years and counting.
I don’t get it. I’m way more used to Sony stuff being crap and breaking right about when a new model comes out.
My God, I have the exact same headphones…I stopped wearing them years ago because they started shedding black stuff on my ears. How do I go about replacing the ear cups?
Beyerdynamic makes replacements that will fit.
How about an update Mr. C…maybe something about how one cannot by a 1984 vintage Walkman in Kabul.
