Here we go again.

We have these little differences

I’ve noticed a lot of U.K. soldiers carry their tourniquets in their shoulder pockets. I’m not sure that’s the most ideal location. Assuming that when a soldier needs to use a tourniquet there’s a good chance most of at least one limb is gone, it seems there’s a non-trivial possibility the affected limb is the one that held the tourniquet; if either arm is affected, then self-aid is is pretty much right out.

I’m also disturbed that U.K. soldiers, BY FAR, have the worst muzzle discipline of any of the 40-ish contributing nations on this FOB. They point their weapons every which way with no regard at all. I’ve seen at least one officer cram the business end of his loaded SA80 into his own crotch and lean on it while distracted with whatever it was he was juggling in his hands.

In completely unrelated news, someone shit in the shower earlier this week. I’m betting that dirty bastard was an American, though.
